Dalmiya pleased with allotment of Test, ODI, T20 to Eden

"Of course this is a good move (by BCCI). Last time we were deprived of our due match against England. It was an injustice done to the CAB," said CAB chief and former BCCI and ICC president Jagmohan Dalmiya here today.

The BCCI's Tours Programmes and Fixtures Committee met today and alloted the lone T20 International against England to the CAB to be held at Kolkata's Eden Gardens.

The Eden would also host an ODI against England in the best-of-five series and one of the three Tests against the West Indies in October-November.

The ICC took away the India-England World Cup game, originally allotted to the Eden and shifted it to Bangalore's Chinnaswamy Stadium, citing lack of sufficient progress in the renovation work carried out at the historic venue.

Dalmiya pointed out that at that time itself the BCCI had promised to award two matches to the historic ground -- the T20 international and an ODI against England -- and has now given an extra match -- a Test against the West Indies.

"At the time of the World Cup itself they (BCCI) wanted some solution to be found and decided to give us two matches as compensation, a T20 and an ODI. Now, we have got the Test match too. We are happy that the Board has given us three matches," he said
