CET counselling starts tomorrow

As many as 1,276 medical seats and 755 dental seats are on offer for selection.  
Of the nearly 1.07 lakh candidates, who appeared for CET this year, 13,197 candidates are eligible for admission to medical and dental courses. Besides this, 54,804 candidates are eligible for the Indian System of Medicine and Homeopathy (ISMH) courses, 64,936 for engineering and technology courses and 728 candidates for the Architecture course.
This year, Belgaum and Chitradurga have been added to the counselling centres at Bangalore, Gulbarga, Mangalore, Shimoga, and Hubli.

For the counselling session, students should carry these documents in the original: CET admission ticket, SSLC/Class X marks card, II PU/Class XII marks card, study certificate counter-signed by the Block Education Officer concerned or Deputy Director of Public Instruction, and two recent passport size photographs. In case of students claiming reservation under any category, they also have to produce the relevant documents.
Candidates should also bring with them an attested copy of the original documents along with the demand draft for the amount prescribed by the government for various courses, in the name of “The Executive Director, Karnataka Examinations Authority”, payable at the centre they are appearing in.

KEA measures

The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) is taking measures to be more transparent by posting the list of seats taken by candidates every day on their website (www.kea.kar.nic.in).
