MSEZ PDF youth to move court over employment issue

The decision to move the court was taken during the meeting of job aspirants and Bajpe, Permude, Kalavaru Samyukta Hitharakshana Samiti, at Vijaya Vittal Bhajana Mandir at Bajpe on Thursday.

Bowing down to the protests of the job aspirants who underwent training at KPT but were denied jobs, the district administration, District-in-Charge Minister, elected representatives and MSEZ officials convened a meeting and promised to provide jobs to them. But the youth who had given their land and have completed graduation, engineering and other professional courses at their own cost have not been taken into consideration.

They said that there are 1,061 youth from PDFs of which 411 youth have completed SSLC have been given training by the company at KPT. The remaining 650 persons who have completed their higher education on their own have been neglected. They said that the company should provide employment to direct job aspirants to trained aspirants on 650:411 ratio.

Other demands

They said that the company should provide stipend of Rs 10,000 per direct job aspirants till they are provided with employment. Company should provide employment to all by December 2012. Priority must be given to I PDF youth followed by II and III PDF.

Company should start Fire and Safety training at the earliest. The candidates not wanting job should be given Rs 10 lakh.

They said that if these demands are not fulfiled, then they would bring stay on every recruitment done by the company.
