Showering encomiums on Amitabh, the ace filmmaker, who is working with the legendary actor for the first time, said, “Bachchan’s discipline is an inspiration for all of us, particularly the young generation. The way he behaves, the way he conducts himself, interacts, and, to top it all, his punctuality should inspire the new breed.”

Jha’s latest multi-starrer Aarakshan, which is slated to release on August 12, depicts the caste-based reservation and what caused it. Deepika Padukone plays the daughter of Big B in this issue-based movie. “The film also shows where our education is heading.

Commercialisation of education is spreading like a virus... My movie just documents the scenario without preaching,” Jha told Deccan Herald here, while interacting on the sidelines of a promotional event for his upcoming movie.

Jha, who has given blockbusters like Rajneeti, Apaharan and Gangajaal scotched rumours of any differences with Ajay Devgn, who has been a part of all the movies made in the last one decade. “It’s not true that the role played by Saif Ali Khan as a Dalit student in Aarakshan was initially offered to Ajay,” he said.

Making his stand clear that he neither supported reservation nor opposed it, Jha said, “Whether we like it or not, we can’t simply wish away the caste system, which is prevalent since ages.”
