Priest's murder: Police get clue

 Police have traced the last call made by Fr James to the landline of a certain Joseph’s house in Kundadi. Later, Mukalel had switched off the mobile. It is suspected that the Mukalel might have gone to the house of Joseph on Wednesday night.

At the same time, Priest’s family members have asked for another post mortem at Calicut government hospital with the special permission from the Kerala government. The funeral will held at Vellad church in Kannur on Sunday. 

Three held

Police arrested three persons in connection with the gambling near Deepak Petrol bunk at Panambur. The arrested are Janaradhana Gowda (26), Ravindra (23) and Girish (26). A case has been registered.

Liquor seized

Kundapur division exercise officials seized liquor worth Rs 50,000 which were illegally transported from Goa to Kerala in train. Acting on a tip off, officials started searching the train from Baindur and found 488 bottles of liquor.
