After launching various programmes organised by Bharathi Education Society, Bharathi Nagar, in the district, as part of its golden jubilee celebrations she said wide gap was being created among humans and quality education was the only key to eradicate the disparity.

It could be possible if value-based and other subjects that could command respect for the farming community were included in textbooks.

The programmes devised by the government should also reach the last man of the society, she said.
She lauded G Madegowda, former MP and president of the society, for establishing an institute in a rural area and ensuring education to all under one roof. She said conspiracy to loot fertile lands in the name of development and industries was going on unabated across the country. It leads to food scarcity in future. In a mocking tone she said industries cannot produce food.
She regretted commercialisation of education and said the need of the hour was a movement to rescue the nation from the clutches of those bureaucrats and politicians, who were out to mint money, leaving behind nation’s interest.
She cautioned farmers against selling cooperative factories to private parties owing to unholy nexus of bureaucrats and politicians and advised ryots to be vigilant.
She said money was just a tool for living, not the world as the society now was under illusion that skyscrapers, highways and malls assure better living. Only good environment can promise better life, she added.
Legal expert Prof C K N Raja presided.  Another legal expert Prof Rajashekar released an emblem brought out on the occasion.Nadoja G Narayan was felicitated with ‘G Madegowda Samaja Seva Ratna’ award, while ‘Organic Farmer’ award was conferred on farmer Sadanand.G Madegowda, managing trustee and former MLC G Madhu Madegowda, secretary B M Nanjegowda and others were present.
