9 held for double murder

Two members of the gang are said to be absconding

Ravi and his associate were hacked to death on July 27. Preliminary investigations had pointed to a long-standing feud with a rival gang.

The accused have been identified as Shekhar, Bala, Harish alias Maeke Harisha, Srinivas, Punith alias Punae, Gajendra, Prakash, Ravi and Naresh. Sources said that Shekar is the main accused in the case.

Two more members from the gang that carried out the murder are said to be absconding.

The main accused has reportedly revealed that the murder was carried out as a retaliation for advocate Mun inanjappa’s murder. Shekar was reportedly a close friend of the victim and he wanted to avenge the brutal murder of his friend.

Bullet Ravi and a rival Gedde Naga were reportedly involved in a long-standing real-estate- battle for control over a property at Allalasandra, on the BIA road.

Gedde Naga is still absconding.  The police revealed that Ravi had several cases against him - including two murders, attempts to murder, and a robbery.

Another motive has also been established after interrogations revealed that Bullet Ravi and his gang used to frequently extort Harish alias Maeke Harisha, a gym owner, who is among the accused.
