JOIN USPolice said teams led by three DSPs carried out the raids at the residences of Pottu Suresh alias Suresh Babu, central executive member of the DMK, and S R Gopi in the city.
Babu was arrested yesterday in a land grabbing case while complaints had been received against Gopi over the same.
Thirteen documents had been seized from two houses of Gopi while the search was going on in Suresh Babu's house till late night, police said.
Further searches would be made, Police said.Suresh Babu and two other DMK men, including District wing Secretary K Thalapathy, were among four persons arrested yesterday in connection with the complaint by a couple.
The complainants alleged that the four accused had forced them to part with their land valued at around Rs four crore for Rs 40 lakhs.
