‘Arbitrium’
The commerce department of Jyoti Nivas College presents ‘Arbitrium 2011 — The Power Of Decision’, a business fest on September 15. Apart from the colleges of Bangalore, colleges from Mangalore and Mysore will be participating in the fest as well. Around 1000 to 1500 students and teachers are expected to attend the event.

The theme of the fest is ‘Exploracao — Race The Rising Tide’. ‘Exploracao’ means exploration in Portuguese and the fest is based on the age of exploration that happened from the 14th century to the 17th century.

It was an era in which the Europeans ventured into the oceans with an urge to find new trade routes. It was in this period that the trade in India flourished, crossed borders and was given a whole new identity.

As the exploration took place in those days, participants of the fest are expected to explore new dimensions in today’s business world. Some of the events to be held are Icebreaker, Best Manager, Event Management, Marketing, Puzzle etc. For details, call 9739075299.
