“ It is easier to lead men to combat, stirring up their passion, than to restrain them and direct them toward the patient labors of peace,” opined French author and Nobel laureate Andre Gide.

Students of Mysore Medical College and Research Institute (MMC&RI) seem to have taken a cue from the author’s words as they are organising ‘Abhivyakth – A crusade of peace’, a three-day state-level inter-collegiate cultural extravaganza beginning on September 23. Deccan Herald is the print partner for ‘Abhivyakth’.

Speaking to City Herald, general secretary of the students association and organising committee member Preetham Philip Tauro said, “The three-day festival will give a chance for blooming talents from all over the state to exhibit their talents in various events. This year we have dedicated to promote a peaceful and healthy world.” We are organising this festival on a larger scale this year and are gearing up to host a memorable show, he added. The participants for Abhivayakth have been asked to carry their ID cards and are requested to enroll for participation and accommodation before Sept 20.
