<p>High-level delegations from 18 countries will take part in the 11th meeting of the Council of Ministers of Indian Ocean Rim Association for Regional Co-operation, a group of Indian Ocean-rim countries, whose aim is to facilitate trade and investment in the region.<br /><br />Chief Secretary S VRanganath held a meeting at Vidhana Soudha to work out the logistics for the summit, being held under the aegis of the ExternalAffairs Ministry.<br /><br />The summit will discuss policy measures to promote sustainable growth and balanced development of the region and will also focus on areas of economic co-operation to provide opportunities for development, shared interest and mutual benefits. <br /><br />It will work for a free and enhanced flow of goods, services, investment and technology within the Indian Ocean rim.</p>
