Last Updated 28 September 2011, 15:57 IST

Chasing a target of 140 and needing 17 runs from the last over, NSW fell one run short to tie the match and take it to the first Super Over Eliminator of the tournament. In the Super Over Eliminator, NSW batted first and scored 18 for no loss with Moises Henriques smashing four fours and a two off Ravi Rampaul.

T&T, who looked set for a win in the normal play before losing the plot in the final over, could score 14 off Steve O'Keefe to slump to their second successive loss in the tournament.

Earlier, NSW made a steady start in their chase of 140 by reaching 67 for two after 10 overs, but lost the way suddenly before being saved by the heroics of Henriques and Pat Cummins in the final over, which in the end proved crucial in registering their first win of the tournament.

Henriques hit two fours while Cummins found a boundary as NSW struck 16 runs from the final over bowled by Rampaul to take the match to Eliminator. For T&T, off-spinner Sherwin Ganga scalped three crucial wickets for 26 runs, while Sunil Narine chipped in with two. Rampaul and Kevon Cooper took one apiece.

NSW's opening pair put on 48 runs with boundaries coming quite often before Shane Watson (14) was out in the seventh over. Watson was guilty of playing cross batted off leg-spinner Sunil Narine, and the deviation took the top edge for Lendl Simmons to take an easy catch at long-on.
