<p>The victims were identified as H R Srinivas, 46, Gayatri, 40, and Poornima, 12, residents of Saudamini Layout in Konanakunte Cross.<br /><br />The death note left behind by Srinivas states: “No one is responsible for our deaths. I don’t blame anyone for this. We could not help my brother when he was in deep financial crisis. We were hurt. We are disappointed with our lives. Don’t take back our bodies to the house after post mortem. Take the bodies for cremation directly. Don’t bury the bodies, burn them.”<br /><br />Srinivas and Gayatri were married for 15 years. The couple hailed from Bangalore. Poornima was a class five student at Silicon City School in Konanakunte. Srinivas was working with Kempegowda Road branch of LIC as a record keeper, while Gayatri was a homemaker.<br /><br />The incident came to light when Madhuvanthi, a close friend of Srinivas’ daughter Poornima, went to check on them in the morning.<br /><br />“Poornima comes to my house every morning. So when she did not come Sunday morning, I felt something was amiss and went to check on her. When I reached there, I saw that the door was ajar and pushed it open. I was shocked to see uncle (Srinivas) hanging from the ceiling and Poornima and aunty (Gayatri) were lying on the bed. I immediately ran to Poornima’s uncle’s house and informed them,” Madhuvanthi told Deccan Herald.<br /><br />Charan, a neighbour, said: “I rushed into the house after I heard Madhuvanthi scream. I found a neatly-folded paper and opened it. It was the suicide note. We informed the police immediately.”<br /><br />Palani, a provision store owner near the victim’s house, said: “We saw the couple talking to each other inside the house on Saturday night. They switched off the light around 10:30 pm and we don’t know what happened later. There was no noise as such.” <br /><br />He added that the couple rarely mingled with neighbours. Srinivas had a younger brother called Mohan and an elder brother Amar Narayan. Mohan was running a private finance business in Banashankari and four years ago Rs 10 lakh was stolen from his office. <br /><br />After that, Mohan found it extremely difficult to run his business and moved to Saudamini Layout with his wife and children. <br /><br />Srinivas tried his best to support Mohan, but the financial burden was too much to handle. A few months after the incident, Mohan committed suicide by hanging himself.<br /><br />One of the relatives said Srinivas was in touch with him regularly and he did not show any signs of being depressed. <br /><br />Srinivas did not have any debts and he was financially sound. DCP (South) Sonia Narang said: “Srinivas was disappointed after his younger brother’s death. Over the last month, he had stopped going to the office saying his father was ill. But his father is hale and hearty.
