Though the Supreme Court rejected her plea seeking an exemption from personal appearance at the Bangalore Court, it has said that the AIADMK leader could appear before the court on another day, if needed. But the apex court has made it clear that she has to answer all the remaining questions pertaining to the case in person.
Sandesh, the prosecution advocate, confirmed that Jayalalitha will not appear before the court on Tuesday and an application will be filed seeking an exemption from Tuesday’s proceedings.
During her previous appearance, she had responded to 567 questions before the Special Court dealing with the Rs 66.60-crore disproportionate assets case.
