CCB arrests three for flesh trade

Rajesh Kumar, 42, a resident of Bhupasandra and a native of Kerala, Sanjay Negi, 32, a resident of RMV Second Stage and a native of Uttaranchal and Ananth, 24, a resident of Kasturba Road and a native of Kolkata are the arrested.

The police have also rescued a girl from Kolkata, whom the suspects had forced into prostitution. The police arrested them from a flat at Golden Arcade Apartment on Kasturba Road.

The suspects allegedly contacted women and girls of various states and promised them  jobs with good salary in Bangalore.

They pushed them into flesh trade once they came to Bangalore. The prime suspect Rajesh was involved in similar cases in Koramangala and Cubbon Park, said the police.

Homemaker electrocuted

A homemaker was electrocuted at her house at Nela­gedaranahalli in Peenya police limits on Wednesday.

The victim Shruthi, 19 was married to Narayan, an onion merchant, three months ago. Narayan had gone out of the house around 6 am on some work. Shruthi got electrocuted when she accidentally touched a water heating rod.

Three women robbed

Miscreants robbed three women in separate incidents  in the City on Wednesday.

Two suspects followed Sujatha, a resident of JP Nagar 3rd phase when she was returning home after buying vegetables.

They snatched her gold chain on second cross, fourth main, JP Nagar and fled.

In another incident in Pulikeshinagar, two suspects, who came on a bike, accosted Devi Lakshman, a resident of Spencer Road, Frazer Town and enquired about a residential address.

Soon, the pillion rider snatched her chain and they vanished within seconds.

The incident took place near Coles Park, Spencer Road around 9.30 pm.

In Hennur police limits, an unidentified person aged around 30 accosted Husna, a resident of HBR Layout and her relative in front of JSS School and threatened them at knifepoint.

He snatched Husna’s 30 gram gold chain and absconded around 9.40 pm, said the police.
Tennager kills self

Dejected over love failure, S Kiran, 19, a resident of Subbanna Garden in Vijayanagar, hanged himself from the ceiling of his house on Thursday.

He was staying with his mother Ratnamma. Two of his sisters Asha and Roopa, both married, also stay at Subbanna Garden.

He allegedly committed suicide when his mother had gone to meet his sisters. The incident came to light when she returned.
