JOIN USSpeaking to mediapersons, E-Skool Director Dr Poornima Kamath informed that competitions on various issues like science models display, Laser game, air freshener quest, research quest and puzzle solving will be organised on the occasion.
A workshop for teachers on “Air pressure and viscosity lesson plans and experiments” will also be held. Besides, the major attraction of the fair will be “Mayaloka”— technology exhibit and children’s market, she said.
The “Mayaloka” consists of science magic demo by the students of Olakadu Government High School.
The other attractions include models of car running with salt water, generator that runs with heat, goggles that show inverted images, Pentakis Kaleidoscope, propeller racer, hydraulic jack, spy phone, animation station, ostrich egg and pressure puller.
There are more than 200 science and engineering related displays and demo by the students from Indiranagar Government High School and as many as 40 science models by the students of high schools, Poornima informed.
There are two categories under the science quest that is physical sciences and life sciences.
The participants in research quest can conduct the experiments for the topic on “burning money and burning balloons” in advance and write their observations and conclusions.
They are judged on the experimental design, reasoning and conclusion, she informed.
