The Bachchans had requested the hospital authorities to keep the news channels and news organisations at bay. However, TV channels last week rushed to the 17-acre hospital expecting that Aishwarya may go for a Caeserian section on the palindrome date 11/11/11 and capture headlines of what is being considered as one of the much-awaited news of Bollywood.
On Saturday, an anonymous visitor of a patient clicked Aishwarya’s husband Abhishek waiting outside the hospital entrance with elder sister Shweta Nanda. Later, the “Dhoom” star, tweeted that “she was up.”
However, it only on Monday around 11:30 pm, the Bachchan clan along with Aishwarya's family drove into the hospital amidst high security and the actress checked into the fifth floor suite where the Bachchan family has reportedly booked four rooms.
On Tuesday evening, the heavily guarded super-specialty hospital became saturated with television news channel OB vans and flash lights flickering outside the compound wall and security men checking the credentials of all the visitors.
Various check-posts have been put up with CCTV cameras and nearly a 100-odd security men have been deployed near the reception area, elevators and fifth floor area.
“All facilities will be provided for the Bachchans, as it is done for all our patients. The only difference is that we have to keep all details related to the Bachchans a little more secret to maintain privacy. Once the delivery is done, they will be in a better position to talk,” the hospital statement read.
Incidentally, the hospital has also chalked out a protocol for the Bachchan clan when the much awaited moment arrives bringing the Little B into world. As of now, , obstetricians at hospital are expecting the labour pains to start early Wednesday.
