Children, between two to 14 years of age, were dressed in clothes provided by the store and were delightedto pose for the cameras like professional models.

With everyone’s eyes on them, they felt really special and did everything possible
to keep the crowd in good humour.

While some of them chose to sing filmy songs, a few of them danced to recent hits with their favourite song being Chammak Challo from Ra.One. The fashion show was choreographed by Prasad Bidapa.  The kids were enthusiastic to learn the basics of fashion from him and listened to him throughout the event.

Apart from the fashion show, many other fun activities like balloon art and photoshoot with cutouts of cartoons also took place. There were food stalls selling popcorn and ice cream as well. The children also got colourful T-shirts at a concession.

“I agreed to bring my son here just for the fun of it. He enjoyed the show a lot as he met many kids of his age group. I could not believe that he was choreographed by fashion guru Prasad Bidapa. I am really happy for him,” said Manjari, mother of Nijel, a fifth standard student of Delhi Public School.

“I didn’t think such small kids would carry off the clothes so well,” she added. The students of Parikrama School got gifts from the store too.  “When we thought of doing something unique and exciting for Children’s Day, the concept of a fashion show came to our mind.

We thought it would be appropriate to celebrate the day amidst kids by making them happy. Eventually, Prasad Bidapa also agreed to choreograph them. The event turned out to be grander and more successful than we expected,” said Naseer Ahmed from Inmark.

“It is always nice to work with kids. It is the best way to destress. Today’s kids are so talented and grasp things so quickly. I didn’t have any problem making them understand the concept and they did it perfectly. I got special gifts from them in the form of sketches and greeting cards. They made my day,” said Prasad Bidapa.
