The procession which commenced from Sri Chowdeshwari temple passed through various streets before culminating at DC’s office. A memorandum was submitted to the Additional DC K M Chandre Gowda on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Dakshina Kannada Bajrang Dal convenor Vinay Kandadka said “the Bill does not support the majority community of the country. It aims at dividing the country and society on the basis of caste and religion.

The Bill is against the constitution. The draft Bill presumes that the communal violence is created only by members of the majority and not by a member of the minority community. Accordingly, the offences committed by the members of majority community against members of the minority community are punishable.”

Vishwa Hindu Parishat district secretary Chi Na Somesh said the Bill is anti-Hindu. Kodagu Zilla Panchayat President Shantheyanda Ravi Kushalappa, Standing Committee on Health and Education President Kanthi Belliappa, S N Rajarao and others were present.
