Speaking after the felicitation, Kambara said that only the Congress party could protect the plurality of the country. “I have always been loyal to the Congress party. I am honoured to be felicitated by my party leaders,” he said.
KPCC President G Parameshwara said that the political parties, which were plagued by corruption, could be cleansed only when ‘clean’ individuals are groomed to become leaders.
Leader of the Opposition in Assembly Siddaramaiah also spoke.
