<p>Rajagopal was the third person to be apprehended in connection with the mining scam by CBI after the arrest of former Karnataka minister Gali Janardhana Reddy and his brother-in-law and OMC MD B V Srinivasa Reddy who are in judicial custody following their arrest on September 5.<br /><br />Rajgopal was arrested last Saturday and remanded to seven-day CBI custody on November 14.<br /><br />After seven days of custodial interrogation by the investigating agency which ended today, he was produced before the special CBI court which remanded him in judicial custody till November 25.</p>.<p>Later, Rajagopal was taken to Chanchalguda Central jail.<br /><br />Meanwhile, the plea of the Income Tax Department, seeking the court's permission to direct CBI to share information on the seized documents was adjourned till November 25.<br /><br />The central agency had recovered various documents concerning the cases pertaining to properties of Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy as well as alleged irregularities in Emaar properties land deal, during searches.<br /><br />Earlier, the CBI had filed a petition seeking extension of the custody of Rajgopal, a former AP Mines Director, by a week stating that it had to elicit more information in the case.<br /><br />Talking to reporters outside the Chanchalguda jail, Rajgopal claimed that he did not commit any mistake or favoured anyone during his service.<br /><br />He said he was confident of being absolved from all "false charges" against him.<br /><br />Meanwhile, Rajgopal's bail petition was filed in the in-charge court by his counsel as the magistrate of special court for CBI is on leave.<br /><br />The bail plea is likely to come up for hearing tomorrow. </p>
