The university will also form a four-member committee, headed by Prof Chambi Puranik, to draft statutes for the Directorate of Correspondence Courses and Distance Education, the Syndicate, BU’s highest decision-making body, decided at its 98th meeting held recently.
New chairpersons
BU will appoint new chairpersons to the Departments of Telugu, Environmental Science, Political Science, Sanskrit, Botany, Statistics, Library and Information Science, Education, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, and Economics.
The University has also decided to permit one non-teaching employee to pursue PhD course as an external candidate.
