Police said, unidentified car-borne men looted four stations. They opened fire at one place but nobody was injured. The employees of the stations said the robbers first struck at Oriental Motors near Bein rivulet bridge on the outskirts of Phagwara and robbed Rs 20,000 cash and a cell phone.
They also took away the CCTV and a recorder. They later struck at B N Duggal petrol pump in the city. According to employees, they eloped with Rs 15,000 cash, a CCTV and a recorder.
The miscreants also struck at Satwant Filling Station near Chachoki on the outskirts of Phagwara. The robbers decamped with Rs 1,07,500. At Mothu Ram Prem Chand pump they fled with Rs 50,000 and 20 litre mobile container.
