The Union government provides Rs 1,080 and Rs 1,100 per quintal of common variety and grade ‘A’ paddy respectively and the hike in MSP comes over and above the said sums, Chief Minister Sadananda Gowda told the Legislative Assembly on Wednesday.
Agriculture Minister Umesh Katti said a minimum support price of Rs 760 will be provided per quintal of grade-I onion, Rs 560 a quintal for grade-II onion and Rs 360 for grade-III onion.
