Metro sees rise in footfalls

The daily ridership of Metro saw a rise on Tuesday due to the Auto Expo at Pragati Maidan and the football match between India and a Germany club at Jawahar Lal Nehru stadium.

According to Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, 15.73 lakh people travelled in Metro till 8 pm on Tuesday.

“The number is around two lakh more compared with the ridership recorded last Tuesday, as 13.97 lakh people travelled by Metro till 8 pm last week on the same day,” a Metro spokesperson said.

At least 30,000 football fans came to the stadium.
