Neelam Chi, 23, a call centre employee from Pune, was found hanging from the roof of her friend’s house in Adugodi on Thursday.
Neelam, who was working with a company in Pune, had moved to Bangalore three days ago after she got a job at a call centre on Hosur Road. She lived with her parents in Pune.
In Bangalore, she was staying with her friend Priyanka, at Nanjunde Garden in Adugodi.
According to the police, Priyanka informed them about Neelam’s death on Thursday morning after she found Neelam hanging in the bedroom around 8 am. The police found a death note that said nobody was responsible for her death.
The police, quoting Priyanka said the deceased’s mother had passed away a few months ago and that her father, Nandakumar, had married again.
“She was unhappy with the marriage, and this might have driven her to commit suicide,” police said.
