Heavy rains claim 2 lives

The deceased have been identified as Gangappa (55) and his grandson Ranganath (9).
Following heavy rains in the village, the roof of the house collapsed, and Gangappa and Ranganath, who caught under the debris, died on the spot, according to sources. Both of them were fast asleep when the incident occured, the sources said.

On learning about the incident, Tahsildar Dr B Sudha, Circle Inspector Srinivasmurthy and Manchenahalli Sub-Inspector Munikrishna visited the spot.
