Two girls died of suffocation after accidentally locking themselves in a car in Uttar Pradesh’s Azamgarh district on Sunday, police said. “The girls, Rufi (3) and Tania (4) were found dead in an Indica car owned by Rufi’s father Naseem Ahmed,” Superintendent of Police Ramit Sharma said.
According to Ahmed, he went to meet his cousin Shafiq in the Sarai Meer area on Sunday morning and the girls got inside the car as the doors were not locked. It appeared that the doors of the car got locked from inside and the girls were not able to open it, the SP said adding the bodies had been sent for post-mortem.
