Eshwarappa slams 'media excesses'

BJP State president K S Eshwarappa on Thursday admitted that former ministers Lakshman Savadi and C C Patil had committed a blunder by watching a porn video in the Assembly, but he also blamed the media for telecasting the clipping repeatedly for more than 24 hours.

Speaking to mediapersons in Shimoga, he said, “I accept our ministers did a wrong thing.

But what is worse is that the visual media telecast the same clipping for more than 24 hours. By doing so, they have provoked the youth to indulge in such activity. I appeal to the media to introspect over it. I am not against freedom of expression  but they should be conscious of their responsibilities towards society.”
