'Maintain Indian culture's unique distinction'

He was speaking after inaugurating the academic session for the first year engineering students at the SJC Engineering College. While advising the students to serve the society, he said: “The knowledge acquired should not be used for making bombs or fake notes, but should instead be used for the progress of the nation. Every engineering student should vow to help children of at least two poor families.”

Nirmalanandanatha Swamy of the Adichunchanagiri branch mutt lauded the institution saying there was a strong spiritual grounding at SJC. “Students are being made aware of their social responsibilities and such students should come forward to serve the nation,” he said.

President of K-2 Technologies, Anant R Koppar; administrative head, Dr K P Srinivasa Murthy; Siddeshwaranatha Swamy from Ramanagara branch mutt; former president of the taluk panchayat, H V Chikkagariga Reddy; APMC president, Agalagurki Chandrashekar; and members of the administrative department were present.
