'BJP will file official nomination on Feb 29'

Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda said that the BJP candidate for Udupi-Chikmagalur bypolls will officially submit the nomination on February 29.

He was replying to a query on confusion over B form to the candidate Sunil Kumar. On allegations against Forest Minister C P Yogeeshwara, he said that there are no evidences to prove the allegations. So, there is no question of initiating action against him as of now. On ‘fixing’ few cases by the police in Mangalore, the Chief Minister said that he will ask Home Minister to look into the case.

To a query on the appointment of Lokyaukta, Chief Minister said that the process for appointing Lokayukta has begun seven days ago. “I have already written letters to Chief Justice of High Court, Opposition leader in the Assembly and Council, Assembly Speaker and Council Chairperson to suggest their names within 15 days.”
