The excise department of Delhi government has seized around 700 bottles of liquor and confiscated three cars that used to smuggle the alcohol into the city.
Police have also arrested three persons allegedly involved in the case. A joint team of Excise Intelligence Bureau and police seized the liquor bottles from Mehrauli and Okhla Industrial areas.
The liquor stock included 368 imported liquor bottles and they were being brought to Delhi in an unauthorised manner, officials in Excise department said.Three cases under section 33 of Delhi Excise Act have been registered against the accused, they said.
The foreign liquor bottles included various brands such as Chivas Regal, Fuel Vodka, Nine Hills White Wine, Nine Hills Red Wine and Blender’s Pride.
