The team from OP Jindal Global Law School emerged winners of the XVI All India Moot Court Competition held in Bangalore.

As many as 200 students from 28 colleges across the country  took part in the contest.
Speaking at the valedictory funtion, Justice Bhaktavatsala, Judge, Karnataka High Court, asked the students to inculcate the quality of fearlessness in presenting their views on issues. “People trust the institution of law and respect those in the profession.

This places a responsibility on the students to keep themselves abreast of issues of prominence in all fields,” said the judge. Being aware of one’s body language, impeccable writing and oratory skills are a must to succeed in the profession. Competitions such as these help students in preparing themselves for their career as they get an opportunity to present their views before the judges, Bhaktavatsala said.

Justice Ram Mohan Reddy, Judge, Karnataka High Court said by being a lawyer, one also gets an opportunity to be a good politician and administrator. He told students not to restrict their knowledge to a particular subject.
