Addressing the gathering, US Consulate Political and Economic Officer Scott Woodard said that month of Ramadan is the period when Muslims reflect the wisdom and guidance that comes with faith and responsibility that human beings have towards one another and to god.
“My country is committed to keeping responsibility to build a work that is more peaceful and secure. That is why we are responsibly ending war in Iraq, isolating violent extremists while empowering the people in places like Afghanistan and Pakistan. America will stand for universal rights of all people,” he said. Yenepoya University Chancellor Yenepoya Abdulla Kunhi among others were present.
