Renowned theatre artist and director Prasanna has been chosen for “Mudradi Natak Samman,” a national award given away by Namma Tuluver Kala Sangatane Mudradi.
Speaking to media persons, Namma Tuluver Kala Sangatane President Sukumar Mohan informed that the award carries a cash prize of Rs 25,000 and a citation.
The award will be conferred on the theatre intellectual on March 25 at B V Karanth Open Theatre Auditorium in Mudradi.
The award will be given away by veteran writer Ambathanaya Mudradi, he added.
The award ceremony is followed by dialogue on theatre with Prasanna.
Artists from Suvarna Pratistana, Mangalore, will stage a play “Oorulu” directed by Sadananda Suvarna on the occasion.
