Nokia launches new Asha 303 smartphone

Nokia India on Monday announced its latest addition to the Asha series - the Nokia Asha 303, a touch & type smartphone with a QWERTY keypad designed for web browsing, social networking, entertainment and gaming.

Packed with a powerful 1GHz processor and a 2.6 inch capacitive touchscreen, it features pre-installed entertainment and applications such as Angry Birds Lite, Mobile TV with Zenga TV, Whatsapp, along with DRM-free Nokia Music Unlimited service. The phone is priced at Rs 8,899.

A tie up with Vodafone will allow its customers to enjoy internet on their Nokia Asha 303 with 1GB of 3G/2G data (on 3G) per month for 4 months free of cost. Speaking at the launch, Nokia India Director Marketing Viral Oza, said, “Nokia has been bringing smart innovation on mobile devices to newer price points, feeding the vast appetite for digital consumption for consumers who are young, urban, hyper-social and want the smartest phones at affordable prices.”

The phone has Bluetooth connectivity, an internal memory of 170 MB with support for up to 32 GB memory, and sports a 3.2 MP camera.
