Youth kills friend for forcing into homosexual relation, arrested

A 20-year-old boy killed his friend because he was irritated over coercion for a homosexual relationship. The incident occurred at Hauz Qazi in central Delhi, police aid Tuesday.

A day after police found the body of 17-year-old Danish from a shop where he was employed in Hauz Qazi, they arrested his friend – Wasim – for the murder, additional deputy commissioner of police, (central) Aslam Khan said.

Both Wasim and Danish worked in the same shop. Wasim lives in Hauz Qazi and was arrested on Tuesday.

Danish was found dead inside the shop on Monday and Wasim was missing since then. This led to suspicion that he might be involved in the murder. Mohammad Shamim, the shop owner told investigators that Danish’s mobile phone was also missing.

Acting on a specific tip off, police arrested Wasim from Chawri Bazar Metro station. “During interrogation, Wasim told us that Danish was forcing him for a homosexual relationship despite his reluctance,” Khan said.

On Sunday, Danish had insisted once again and Wasim had refused.

Irritated at the regular insistence, Wasim attacked Danish with a knife, killed him on the spot and fled.

Man killed in accident

A 53-year-old man was killed and his friend injured when the motorcycle they were riding was hit by a speeding truck in Alipur area of outer Delhi, police said on Tuesday.

The dead has been identified as Kishan Chand. He along with Jaibeer Singh, 38, was returning from Hiranki to their residences in Jahangirpuri when the accident took place at around 8 pm on Monday.

“Kishan, who was driving, and Jaibeer, who was riding pillion, were near Hiranki police picket when the truck rammed into their motorcycle from behind. Both of them were thrown off the vehicle on impact and Kishan came under the rear wheel of the truck,” a police official said.

After receiving the information, police rushed to the spot and took the duo to Satyawadi Raja Harish Chandra Hospital in Narela.

“Kishan was however declared brought dead by doctors, while Jaibeer was discharged after treatment for minor injuries,” the official added.

The 53-year-old’s body was later handed over to his family after post-mortem at Babu Jagjivan Ram Memorial Hospital in Jahangirpuri.

The truck driver, Kashmir Singh, has also been arrested and a case has been registered against him at Alipur police station. He faced charges of rash driving and causing death by negligence under sections 279 and 304A of the Indian Penal Code.
