Senior leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) are trying to cool down the tempers following the resignation threat by former chief minister Vasundhara Raje which triggered crisis in the state party unit.

Party in charge of Rajasthan Captain Singh Solanki in a TV interview ruled out any disciplinary action against Raje supporters as against the demand of her rival group. He said the party is not thinking of any disciplinary action against the MLAs and leaders who handed over resignation to Raje.

The other group led by party state president Dr Arun Chaturvedi had formed a committee headed by party vice-president Onkar Singh Lekhawat to look into the action and utterances of the party leaders infringing party discipline during the present crisis.

According to reports, the committee has collected evidences against a few of Raje supporters for their anti-party utterances and sending them to Delhi to the party high command. Party sources said they had complaints of anti-party activities of some party leaders and would be studied before suggesting action to be taken on the matter.

Meanwhile, the Raje residence at the Civil Lines remained busy with her supporters thronging to express solidarity with her.
