Malik leads seeds into semifinals

Top seed Vijayant Malik defeated Bowen Ouyang of China 6-4, 7-5 to enter the semifinals of the Prem Sugars Mandya Open ITF tennis tournament here on Thursday.

Other leading seeds also went through with ease. Second seed Ranjeet Virali Murugesan defeated Vignesh Veerabadran 6-4, 6-0 while third seed N Sriram Balaji prevailed over his challenger Kaza Vinayak Sharma 6-2, 6-4.

Fourth seed Saket Myneni completed the line-up scoring over his French opponent Sebastien Boltz 6-3, 6-4.

In the semifinals, Malik will take on Balaji while Murugesan will play Myneni.
Balaji and Arun-Prakash Rajagopalan entered the doubles final, defeating Kunal Anand and Ajai Selvaraj 6-2, 6-4. They will meet Myneni and Ouyang in the final on Friday.
