<p>Two cousins who were close to each other and could not live separately committed suicide by jumping into a well, at Karmala in Puttur on Monday. <br /><br /></p>.<p>According to police, the deceased have been identified as Sharanya (21) and her cousin Ramya (24). <br /><br />Sharanya was a resident of Karmala and was the six semester student of electronics engineering at Vivekananda College. Ramya, a resident of Kudroli in Mangalore and was studying computer course after completing the PUC. <br /><br />In fact, Ramya had been to Karmala on Sunday. Her mother had asked to come home on Tuesday. <br /><br />Puttur police have registered the case.<br /><br />House burgled<br /><br />Some unidentified miscreants gained entry into a house and decamped with cash, seven pawan gold and a mobile phone, at Kakkur in Puttur taluk in the wee hours of Monday. <br /><br />According to police, the house belongs to one Venkatramana Bhat. <br />A group of seven miscreants with lethal weapons had entered the house and decamped with the booty. The miscreants had covered their face and were speaking in Tulu, Malayalam and Kannada. <br /></p>
