<p>The Samajwadi Party, which supported UPA nominee Pranab Mukherjee for the presidential poll, confirmed that it will not stake claim for the post of vice-president against its support for Mukherjee.<br /><br /></p>.<p>“We are not going to stake claim for the post of Vice President. We have no such intention,” SP General Secretary Ram Gopal Yadav told reporters here.<br /><br />Elections for the post of vice-president are due in August.<br />The SP leader also ruled out any possibility of SP joining the UPA-II government at the Centre.</p>
