The Professional Golf Tour of India will resume following a one-month mid-season break with the PGTI Players Championship that will tee off here on Tuesday.

A field of 120 professionals including home hero Anirban Lahiri, Asian Tour winners Gaganjeet Bhullar, Himmat Singh Rai and Digvijay Singh as well as leading pros Chiragh Kumar, Mukesh Kumar and Manav Jaini who have the potential to go all the way will be seen in action.

The biggest challenge for the golfers apart from getting their bearings right for the second half of the season, however, would be conquering an unchartered territory. The Prestige Golfshire Club on the outskirts on the City would be making its debut and the novelty factor is what promises four days of potentially wonderful action.

Set at the foot of the Nandi Hills on the edge of Lake Kerehalli, the Prestige Golfshire Club is said to be one of a kind course.

Designed by famous British architect Bob Hunt, the 7000-yard course is modelled on the links style courses in Europe and promises to offer stiff challenges with its rippling fairways and distinctive bunker style.
