5-year-old succumbs to H1N1 in Udupi

 
According to DHO, the boy, studying in UKG in a private school in Nitte was admitted to a private nursing home on Monday for reported pneumonia and respiratory disorder. As his condition worsened, the boy was shifted to KMC Manipal on Tuesday evening. However, he did not respond to the treatment and breathed his last on Tuesday late night.

It is yet to be ascertained as to how the boy contracted the disease as he did not travel anywhere in the recent past and the chances of he meeting any H1N1 victim too is very less. The boy hails from Palli panchayat in Karkala taluk.
