Extend city service up to TVS Cross

Commuters from Mathikere bound for Bonemill, Saptagiri Engineering College Saptagiri Medical College, Saptagiri Hospital other engineering colleges like Krishna, Acharya, RR College and Banavara railway station have to travel by route number 273C, which plies between Majestic and Jalahalli Cross and change over to other routes originating from Majestic and bound towards Hesaraghatta.

In a sudden and surprising move, the Jalahalli Cross bus stop was shifted to a point near the Peenya Police station.

This has adversely affected commuters from Mathikere bound for Hesarghatta side as they cannot catch the buses coming from Majestic. The drivers of route no 273C force the commuters to alight at Ayyappa temple itself instead of the designated stop which is near the petrol bunk by the side of Peenya Telephone exchange.

This result in utter chaos since crossing the road at Jalahalli Cross is quite a nightmare. The other alternative is for the pedestrians to walk for one km up to Vijaya Bank, Dasarahalli to catch a bus towards Hesarghatta. This is also equally horrible as near the Agarwal Bhavan crossing, vehicles come in all the four directions.

The best remedy for the Jalahalli Cross would be to extend route no 273C up to TVS Cross so that the commuters proceeding towards Hesarghatta can change over to 502H which has a good frequency. It is sincerely hoped that the BMTC will implement the suggestion in interest of the commuting public.
