'Vijayadashami is a part our life'

Addressing Rambhapuri Dasara Darbar celebration on Thursday, he said that he has been a devotee of Rambhapuri mutt since last 30 years and many times he had sought blessings of Jagadguru Renukacharya. He said that it is due to the blessings of the seers that he had become MP.

Kadur MLA K M Krishnamurthy, MLC Motamma, ZP President Gayathri Shanthegowda and TP President D J Suresh attended the programme.  Andhra Pradesh Kollipaki Development Trust Treasurer Shivsharanappa Seeri was honoured with ‘Veerashaiva siri’ award by Rambhapuri seer. Meanwhile, Kuppura Thammadihalli Virakta Mutt Dr Abhinava Mallikarjuna Swamiji spoke on ‘Dana mathu dasoha mahime’.

 Kaladagi Chandrashekar Shivacharya spoke on Veerashaiva religion and religious harmony. Rambhapuri seer provided gurudeekshe to Chikmagalur Jayabasavananda swamiji, Tarikere MLA D S Suresh, MLC D M Puttegowda, B C Puttasiddappa, G R Shadakshari and others. All devotees, who participate in the Dasara Darbar of Balehonnur Rambhapuri Jagadguru here, were served the mouthwatering delicious food.
About 14,000 devotees take ‘Prasada’ at Renukacharya Kalyana Mantapa and Polytechnic College Campus everyday. Similarly, special breakfast arrangements were also made for the devotees, who participate in the ‘Ishtalinga Pooje’ in the wee hours at Renukacharya Kalyana Mantapa.

Dasoha Samiti convener L V Basavaraj said that about 8,000 devotees receive dinner in the evening. While a team of 50 cooks prepare food, about 200 volunteers serve food. More than 10,000 devotees are expected participate on the valedictory ceremony on the day of Vijayadashami, he added.

Demand for ‘Ishtalinga’
The demand for ‘Ishtalinga’ has been increased considerably at the Renukacharya Kalyana Mantapa, where the Ishtalinga Pooje is being organised. More than three artists are preparing Ishtalinga for devotees at the Mantapa instantly. An average of 150 Ishtalingas are being sold everyday.
