Three Nepali nationals were arrested for killing a 50-year-old man over property dispute at Karol Bagh in central Delhi, police said.

Shiv Raj, 28, Jang Bahadur, 23 and Dharam Pal, 43, all from Nepal, were arrested for murder of another Napali national Padam Bahadur, said additional commissioner of police (central) Devesh Chandra Srivastva.

Police said, on August 24, Ram Chander of Sector 81 at Noida in Uttar Pradesh, approached Karol Bagh police station and complained that his brother Padam Bahadur along with Raju had come to Delhi from their native place in Nepal on August 18.
They stayed at the house of Saraswati, sister of Raju at Karol Bagh.

“Next day, Chander’s relative informed him that Padam has expired,” police said.
Chander came to Delhi and took the body to their native village in Nepal for the last rites.
He later found that Raju had personal enmity with his brother over a piece of land which Padam was using for farming. Chander brought this to the notice of police.

Meanwhile, the post-mortem report showed that the death was caused due to ‘manual strangulation’. Police registered a case of murder and after investigation nabbed Shiv Raj, Jang Bahadur, and Dharam Pal.

During interrogation they told police that there was a dispute over a piece of land which Ram Chander had bought.

Raju was also interested in purchasing it but he failed to do so. Due to this, Raju felt humiliated and planned to take revenge.

He hatched a conspiracy and developed friendship with Padam and brought him to Delhi.
They consumed liquor at Saraswati’s house. When they went to sleep, Raju started quarrelling with Padam.

While fighting, Raju caught him from behind. Dharam Pal hit his head on a wall whereas Shiv Raj gave a blow to him.

They pinned him down. While Raju and Shiv Raj caught hold of him, Dharampal strangled him.
