Onam is the celebration of prosperity, but moreover it reminds of a time when the people lived in harmony with nature, opined renowned lyricist and Kerala Chief Secretary K Jayakumar.

Mangalore MLA U T Khader said that Keralites adapt the culture of the place they are living and that is why they are successful in wherever places they are settling.

Udupi Deputy Commissioner Dr M T Reju, AJ Group of Institutions President A J Shetty, Kerala Samajam President T K Rajan, Secretary V S Ajith Kumar were also present during the function.
