This is the first international title for the 26-year old Indian in nearly ten months.
In the final on Sunday, Murgunde, who had her share of injury woes in the past one year, got the better of Jeanine Cicognini of Switzerland 21-17, 21-12, according to a release from Bangalore-based Prakash Padukone Badminton Academy.
Cicognini had beaten India's Sayali Gokhale in the quarter-final 21-13, 21-18.
The Indian players will now participate in the Bitburger Open, the main draw of which starts from tomorrow.
