Manjunath alias Bande Manja, an associate of slain rowdy-sheeter, Bettanagere Seena, was remanded in police custody for 10 days by the JMFC Court in Nelamangala on Monday.

Manja, who was produced in the court, is one of the prime suspects in the murder of B M L Krishnappa at Arishinakunte on July 25.  He had surrendered before the court on September 15.

Sources said Manja had provided both men and money to Seena for the murder of Krishnappa.

However, Manja had chosen to surrender in the case in which he had allegedly attempted to murder Krishnappa in 2010.

The court had earlier remanded him in judicial custody for 14 days.  However, the police sought a body warrant and his custody in connection with the murder. The police had sought his custody for 10 days.
