<p>Thirty people were killed while several others injured when a truck carrying wheat flour rammed into a passenger bus in Nigeria's southern state of Ogun.<br /><br /></p>.<p>Most of those killed in the accident which took place at Mobalufun junction along the Ijebu Ode-Sagamu expressway yesterday were bus passengers, eyewitnesses said.<br /><br />"The injured have been taken to the General Hospital and Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital, Sagamu for treatment while the dead were deposited at a morgue" said Ogun State police spokesman Olumuyiwa Adejobi.<br /><br />Evacuation of victims was carried out in a joint operation by Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) officials, the police and the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency.<br /><br />Violation of traffic norms, coupled with bad road networks has led to loss of hundreds of lives along Nigerian roads.<br /><br />Last week, the FRSC had organised a nation-wide campaign to create awareness about traffic security among people.</p>
